Absolute versus relative mode

In the upper right of the preflop field is a button that in standard mode will read "Relative".
This button toggles between Absolute and Relative mode.

To see the difference between the modes, here's a screenshot of our tree in both settings:

Relative mode versus Absolute mode
When the software is in Relative mode, the frequencies of the actions will always add up to 100%, as they will indicate how often these actions will happen within that decision.
In Absolute mode however, the absolute chance of reaching a certain part of the tree is given. So in the pic above, the line where SB calls the all in will only happen 0.13% of the time.

EV versus $
A second difference between the two modes is that in Relative mode "EV" means the amount of money you expect to make given the fact that you've already reached that part of the tree.
In Absolute mode this amount is then weighed by the chance of actually getting to that part of the tree.

For example, if you make $100 when you hit quads, but you only hit quads 0.1% of the time, then in Absolute mode the value of hitting quads is considered to be $0.10.

Tip:
In almost any case, you'll want the software to be in Relative mode. You'll rarely need Absolute mode. For this reason the software always toggles back to Relative mode once you start a new tree.
